Hanmer Holiday Homes is looking for a full-time energetic individual with proven experience to join our great team as Accounts Manager in the beautiful village of Hanmer Springs. Reporting directly to the General Manager, in your role you will be responsible for all accounting, finance, payroll, and assisting in administrative functions and to join the Management Group determining the way forward to achieve the company’s objectives.

Given our Covid experience there may be an opportunity to perform this role by working remotely.

Hanmer Holiday Homes has managed holiday homes since the late 1990’s. Each year we welcome over 10,000 families, couples, or groups to our approximately 180 holiday homes in Hanmer Springs.

The key responsibilities of this role are: -

  • Preparation of interim and annual financial statements in a timely manner
  • Overview of our Property Management Systems (PMS) integration with Xero and particularly payments to Owners
  • Analytical review of financial statements
  • Provide detailed department variance and margin analysis
  • Provide technical knowledge to help support system and process improvements to ensure finance systems and processes are operating effectively and up to best practice standards
  • Assist General Manager with annual budgeting and capex forecasting
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Office and other business related apps
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Affinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to 'real world' delivery environments

To be successful you will ideally have the following: -

  • A tertiary qualification related to accounting (or nearing completion of)
  • Strong time management and productivity
  • An ability to form successful relationships with others in our team

  • Capacity to understand wider picture
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills

Hanmer Holiday Homes are looking for a part time Office Administrator to join our busy office on a 9–12-month fixed term maternity cover contract.

You may be an experienced Office Administrator ready for a change or someone from another field looking for a change of course.

The position is part-time:-

  • 7.5 hours per day
  • Two - three days per week in the lead up to maternity leave and possibly an additional day per week during maternity leave
  • Working one weekend in 3
  • On a 9–12-month fixed term maternity cover contract

This role plays a critical part in the day to day running of a busy and successful holiday home company. You will be responsible for a variety of general administration duties.

The successful applicant will be someone:-

  • Confident in computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Excel at customer service, both in person and over the phone, as you will be helping our tenants
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and Xero is an advantage but not necessary as we can train you
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure
