Only 90 minutes drive from Christchurch and with views out to the mountains this is the quintessential alpine style holiday home offering 'kick your shoes off' comfort with the modern touches that make for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The floorplan offers a renovated kitchen and bathroom with laundry facilities great for those longer holidays. Bedrooms include two queen bedrooms downstairs and a third queen bedroom and loft bedroom with three single beds upstairs. This totals four bedrooms two up and two down.

The well equipped kitchen makes self-catering your stay a breeze, especially with the fantastic finishing touches of pantry staples, slow cooker, blender and all the platters you need to make your cheese and nibbles eating dreams come true! Enjoy your meals together around the large dining table. After taking a spritely walk up nearby Conical Hill to the lookout (approx 200m above the village) you will have well earnt a glass of vino by the cosy wood burning fireplace where no one will judge you if you have your PJ's on before dinnertime. This comfy space includes a flatscreen TV with free movies and sports channels or you can sit outside and gaze at the expansive view, idyllic all year round especially if you are lucky enough to be there when it snows.

A selection of games and books are also available and we do have have free Wi-Fi. In the morning pack your togs and stroll into town only a fifteen minute walk away (1km), grab some breakfast at one of the multiple trendy cafes on offer and then hit the famous Hanmer Hot pools and spa for a day of relaxation. If retail therapy is your thing then we recommend you visit the boutique shops where there is something for everyone (or two, or three things...). Not one to sit around? There is an incredible range of walking and cycling tracks to explore as well as a golf course.

This beautiful alpine village really has it all with a real buzz in the air and plenty to do. While we are pet friendly, please note we are not pet proof, the fencing is as described on our social media accounts @hugoshousehanmersprings. We would also love for you not to let your dogs on the beds so please bring theirs with you, we would appreciate that so thank you in advance. We have done everything we can to help ensure you thoroughly enjoy your stay! Guests of Hugo's House are required to provide their own linen and towels as well as clean this home upon departure so that it is tidy for the next guest. We do offer an optional linen hire and cleaning service. The cost of this linen hire can be found here. The cost of this cleaning service would be $130, if you are bringing your pet we do recommend this service.
