Designed to make the most of sun and views this two bedroom home is located on a private right of way and there are no neighbours either side. It is generously sized and has a wonderful alpine vista. Spacious, modern and elegantly furnished with quality furnishings and artwork, the home is double-glazed, has under tile heating, central heating, air conditioning and a gas fire for those chilly nights (the split stone chimney in Waimakariri river stones hand selected by master craftsman Pete Dunne is a work of art in itself).
The lounge features two leather couches, armchairs, coffee tables and a window seat beneath a picture window. There is SKY TV, Stereo, CD, DVD player. Double doors open from the lounge on to the front balcony which looks towards the village, breakfast out here in the sun is magic.
The fully equipped kitchen has a double sink plus there is a prep sink in the large granite island bench top. There is a walk in pantry, electric oven, gas cook top, range hood, dishwasher, a refrigerator with an icemaker and two waste disposal units. The dining area has a large dining table, which comfortably seats eight. There are two sets of large bi-folding doors, which open on to a patio and a loggia, which makes indoor-outdoor living a breeze. The loggia is the perfect place to entertain and features a split stone garden. There is a large outdoor table with comfortable seating and a BBQ and there is even an area to play petanque (and yes the boules are here for your use).
The master bedroom is huge and has a full size walk in wardrobe with plenty of drawer space. The King size bed has quality bedding and feather blankets to snuggle under plus there is a dual electric blanket. There is a , TV, bedside cabinets, a small table with two chairs plus an ottoman sitting invitingly in the bay window. Large double doors open out to the front balcony.
The ensuite to the master bedroom is sumptuous. It is very large and features artwork and a full size double spa bath. Just imagine being able to lie back and view the night sky through the open double bi-fold windows - very romantic. There is a toilet, a large double shower with two shower roses (standard & a rain shower rose), twin vanity basins, a huge heated mirror,travatine tiles with under floor heating, two heated towel rails and a hair dryer.
The spacious second bedroom has a Super King bed which can be also be configured as twin beds. There is quality bedding and feather blankets to snuggle under plus there are electric blankets. There is a large double wardrobe, TV, bedside cabinets, elegant bedside lamps and an easy chair. The picture window above the bed reveals a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain range.
The ensuite to the second bedroom features a shower, toilet, vanity unit, large heated mirror, under tile heating, large heated towel rail and a hair dryer.
There is a full laundry with European appliances.
Parking is available either in the garage which gives internal access via a flight of stairs or there is a parking space at the upper level of the property which gives direct access into the House.
It is an easy stroll to the Hanmer Springs Hot Pools, Cafes, Restaurants and many tourist attractions.
The House and Apartment (59A & 59B St James Ave) are rented out as separate units, however they are able to operate as one linked unit if required.Sleeps: 6
Tenants are required to clean this home upon departure so that it is tidy for the next tenant however we do offer an optional cleaning service, the cost of this cleaning service would be $100.00
