We just love our "Thyme Cottage" named so, as the owners are often, themselves time poor.

This spacious cozy warm little 2 bedroom cottage offers you a great wee place to stay and relax. This is somewhere you can stay that is so peaceful you really can slow down,  enjoy the mountain and hill stunning views and walks, and actually  get back some of the very much needed in our lives… “Time” for yourself and family or friends you are staying with.

The cottage was renovated in October 2009 for you to enjoy and the owners are constantly updating and improving it,  as time goes by.

“Thyme Cottage” Won Best Hanmer Holiday Home under $105 category in 2010 and was a Finalist in 2024 (1-2 Bedroom Catergory)

The owners try to think of everything to provide an awesome stay, while you are in their wee home, including games, toys, & DVD's  for the kids.  There is a 55” Smart TV, with multiple apps, including Netflix (use your own login), Freeview and a Sound Bar with the TV,  unlimited Wi-Fi,

There is also a porta cot, high chair and baby bath.

The kitchen is very well equipped, Coffee Machine, Air Fryer,  Slow Cooker, Toastie Maker, Microwave and plenty of pots, pans, cutlery, cups and wine glasses, etc, (hopefully you won't need anything else while you are here).

While the home sleeps four in beds, (Queen & 2 Single)  there is a fold out couch in the lounge if required.

The property is located next door to a reserve, so you will not feel like you are living on someone else's doorstep and the kids can go next door and climb trees.
The section is flat, so no tricky steep roads or driveways to negotiate and there is a lockable garden shed with room to store bikes in it.

Thyme Cottage, is also located very close to the Hanmer Springs Golf Course (approx  8-10 minutes to the pools)  a nice scenic walk to the pools and the lovely central township of Hanmer.

You can also bring your beloved pets on holiday too! Small well-behaved dogs only are welcome at this property and don't forget to clean up after your pet before you leave.  (Pets are not permitted on the furniture please.) The owners have had a small cat/dog door installed which exits to a fully fenced in area in the front of the home.  Bring the Dog Lead -   there are brilliant dog walks here and Hanmer is a very dog friendly little township!!

Guests are required to provide their own linen and towels as well as clean this home upon departure so that it is tidy for the next guest. We do offer an optional linen hire and cleaning service. The cost of this linen hire can be found here. The cost of this cleaning service would be $90.00.
